Mozilla has unveiled the latest version of Firefox for Android earlier this week making the mobile web experience much faster and easier.
"We redesigned Firefox for Android to make it a screaming fast and personalized upgrade to mobile browsing that lets you take your Web experience everywhere you go," says an official blog post.
The new upgraded Firefox version for Android includes the quick share button, bump sharing, dark mode and a full range of WebRTC support.
The "quickshare" button allows users to post on most frequently used sites with a single tap making the file sharing a much less time consuming job. On the other hand, "Bump Sharing" can be initiated for those devices endorsed with near field communication and files, which can be readily shared between the NFC-enabled devices by bumping the two devices together.
The offline Reader can be highlighted in low lights with an adjustment in brightness mode and the fonts can also be easily changed. The new Firefox edition features a complete WebRTC set up that features Peer Connection( browser to browser calls), getUserMedia (for webcam and microphone access) and Data Channels (data transfer between browsers).
The new version of Firefox will bring further changes on other operating systems as well with a special stress on Macs. It will feature an improved scroll bar that got introduced with the OS X 10.7, reports CNet .
The Windows users are in for some disappointment as the W3C standard Touch Events API has been disabled pending the repair of a bug.
The new Firefox for Android is now available for download in the Google Play store.
