Warning: Possible spoilers for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"
Ever since Lucasfilm's official "Star Wars" Instagram account dropped a recent teaser revealing John Boyega's Finn wielding Luke and Anakin Skywalker's iconic lightsaber, fans have assumed that he was the soon-to-be Jedi of the new generation of heroes. Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron gave off a Han Solo-type vibe with his cocky piloting skills and Daisy Ridley's Rey...well, fan couldn't exactly peg her character.
We know that she is a scavenger living on the planet Jakku and we know that she may have familial ties to an original trilogy character. But we didn't know that she may also be a full-fledged badass and someone not to be trifled with.
ComicBookMovie.com has some details on potential scenes in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and it sounds as if Rey is more than capable of taking care of herself. No Princess Leia-style rescue needed for her.
"The mission to take down the First Order is underway! After invading the Starkiller Base, our member of the Resistance has split from her group and found herself in a massive room full of First Order soldiers. Completely surrounded by Stormtroopers with blasters and Knights of Ren with lightsabers, she seems to be totally outnumbered. Unfortunately for her enemies, though, they've made a big mistake: it's not about the strength of the weapon, but the strength of the warrior that wields it."
Rey taking on an entire room full of First Order baddies by herself seems far-fetched, but perhaps she is the fiercest warrior out of all the new trilogy characters and we've just been underestimating her character. Maybe Finn isn't the only new face who is potentially Force sensitive. Regardless, it sounds like one heck of a scene that is sure to wow fans.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters on Dec. 18.
