Arsenal begins the group stage against Marseille. Group F, which also includes Napoli and Borussia Dortmund, could be the toughest group in the tournament, according to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

"If you look at the group, I would say yes it is the hardest group because all the four teams have a chance to qualify," Wenger told BBC. "That means the (sic) every game is basically a very important one.

"On average you need 10 points to qualify so that gives you the task - 10 points in a group is difficult as that could be a reasonable number to get through."

Because of the number of Arsenal players out with injury, Wenger is worried fatigue could become an issue for his team.

"I am concerned because from now they play for two months every three or four days and it's important we get some players back because you cannot play for the next two months with the squad we have at the moment," he said.

Arsenal will have to overcome a roster depleted by a slew of injuries, according to SB Nation. Santi Cazorla (ankle), Tomas Rosicky (thigh), Abou Diaby (knee), Mikel Arteta (thigh), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee), Lukas Podolski (hamstring) and Yaya Sanogo (back) are all unavailable for Wednesday's match. Per Mertesacker (virus), Olivier Giroud (knee) and Mesut Ozil (illness) are in doubt.

Marseille has no one unavailable with injury, but Souleymane Diawara (thigh) is in doubt.
