Ayvani Perez, 14, was found safe after being abducted at gunpoint by two men during a home invasion, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
"This is a good day. This is a good day for the Perez family, but more important for Ayvani," Clayton County Police Chief Gregory Porter said in a news conference Wednesday.
"She's in good health, she's being evaluated as we speak," Porter said.
Authorities said the two suspects were taken into custody.
Perez was taken from her home early Tuesday morning by two men who were trying to rob her mother, Maria Magdalena Corral. According to 11Alive News, Corral was reportedly arrested on drug trafficking charges in 2012, but were later dropped.
"Two men, described as wearing black clothing and armed with handguns, pried open the back door of her home in the Ellenwood area around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday in an apparent random home invasion. The robbers demanded money and jewelry and when they were told there was none, abducted Ayvani and killed the family dog," police officials said, CBS News reports.
The alleged kidnappers reportedly demanded $10,000 for her safe return, causing Perez's family to try and raise the money to get her back safely. However, law enforcement officials did not confirm the robbers asked for a ransom.
"The FBI and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation were assisting Clayton County police in the massive search for the teen," CBS reports. "Police were stopping cars Tuesday and checking them during the search. Authorities also released sketches of the two suspects."
Police officials have not released the names of the suspects, but confirmed to FOX News they are looking for "other suspects." No motive for the crime has been confirmed.
"We have not determined the relationship between these individuals at this time," Rick Maxwell, the FBI Atlanta Field Office's special agent in charge, told reporters during the news conference.
