Derek Medina Facebook Murder UPDATE: Chilling Security Footage Shows The Final Confrontation With Dead Wife, Jennifer Alfonso (VIDEO)

Chilling footage of Derek Medina's confrontation before allegedly murdering his wife, Jennifer Alfonso, in self-defense has surfaced.

The Miami Herald posted a video showing the gunpowder flying after Medina, 31, allegedly shot Alfonso, 26, six to eight times. The footage shows Medina leaving the room and reportedly returning with a gun out of the camera's sight.

"The footage shows a version of events consistent with Medina's story to Miami-Dade police detectives, who believed he was the aggressor and arrested him on a murder charge," the Herald reports. "The footage also shows Medina calmly retrieving a jacket and his phone, apparently stopping to snap a photo of Alfonso's body before walking out of the townhome."

Medina walks away from his wife's body, seemingly unfazed by the horrific crime he is currently facing charges for.

The Florida man was charged with the first-degree murder of Alfonso on Aug. 9. His crime went viral when he posted a photo of his wife's dead, bloody body on his Facebook page, along with a post claiming he killed Alfonso because she was attacking him.

"I'm going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife. Love you guys. Miss you guys. Take care. Facebook people you'll see me in the news. My wife was punching me and I am not going to stand anymore with the abuse, so I did what I did. I hope u understand me," Medina wrote in a Facebook post, which was later shut down by authorities.

Alfonso's 10-year-old daughter was in their home during the time of the alleged murder. Authorities said they found the girl unharmed.

Police reportedly found Alfonso's diary, giving disturbing insight into their tumultuous relationship.

"We have the strangest relationship, to me anyway," she wrote in a Dec. 27 entry, the Herald reports. "We get angry at each other for the stupidest things."
