Katy Perry braved the dust storm and bugs to catch some live music at the 2015 Burning Man music festival in Nevada. The pop star also tried to ride a Segway for the first time on the festival grounds but failed miserably as she fell off, Billboard reported. The hilarious attempt was posted in short video to her Instagram page.
In the clip, Perry was dressed in full festival attire as a steampunk '90s raver in a long cream-colored fur coat over a black dress with sheer black tights, combat boots and a small studded backpack. She wore her hair loose with a pair of black goggles to shield her eyes from the dusty winds.
She attempted to ride the Segway while dance music played in the background, but the transporter spun out of control and Perry lost her balance, jumping off before it took her down. After she regained her footing, the camera pans to show the Segway rolling away from her and she ran after it.
"Obvious first time burner alert," she captioned the video.
Her father, pastor Keith Hudson, showed his daughter how to properly ride a Segway in a second clip posted to her Instagram page. Dressed in all black, Hudson flaunted his balancing skills as he did a 360-degree turn on a Segway with one hand
"Thanks dad," Perry wrote in the caption.
