Former NFL player Tyler Sash was found dead at his home on Tuesday morning, according to Scott Reister of KCCI in Iowa. Sash was 27 years old.
Sash played collegiately at the University of Iowa after starring at Oskaloosa High School. He was an All-Big Ten player for the Hawkeyes and was eventually selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Sash played two professional seasons, amassing 25 tackles and two forced fumbles in 23 NFL games. He aided the Giants to a victory in Super Bowl XLVI over the New England Patriots.
