One home run, two milestones.
New York Yankees DH Alex Rodriguez hit his 30th home run of the season on Tuesday night against the Baltimore Orioles and achieved two more notable career accomplishments.
With the home run last night, Rodriguez tied Hank Aaron's MLB record with his 15th season hitting at least 30 homers. The last time A-Rod hit 30 home runs was back in 2010. He hit a total of 41 home runs from 2011-2014 due to injury shortened campaigns as well as his season-long suspension in 2014 for PED use.
Additionally, Rodriguez passed Rickey Henderson on the all-time hits list with that home run to slide into sole possession of 22nd place. It was A-Rod's 3,056th career hit and he's now just four behind Houston Astros' legend Craig Biggio, who is No. 21 on the list.
