The Emmy Awards will welcome TV newcomer Lady Gaga as one of its presenters at this year's awards ceremony.
The Television Academy announced on Thursday that the "American Horror Story: Hotel" star will serve as a presenter for the 67th annual Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 20. Gaga will join already announced presenters Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard from "Empire" as well as Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Poehler, Maggie Gyllenhaal and LL Cool J.
Lady Gaga will make her television acting debut in the next installment of "American Horror Story," which premieres on FX next month. Last season's "AHS: Freak Show" racked up 13 nominations this year, including acting nods to the pop star's "Hotel" co-stars Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Finn Wittrock and Denis O'Hare.
Lady Gaga will play The Countess in "Hotel" who owns the luxury Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles. Her character is a bloodthirsty, sex-loving socialite who is "glamorous but deadly."
"American Horror Story: Hotel" will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7 on FX.
The Emmys, hosted by Andy Samberg, will air on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
