One kind-hearted golden retriever has just gone on to win the hearts of many people around the world. A video of JJ, an Oregon therapy dog and certified member of Project Canine, comforting a blind elderly woman under hospice care went viral, according to K5 News.
In the video, which was taken by JJ's handlers and was posted on her own Facebook page, JJ can be seen engaging with the woman lovingly, bumping her hand and even giving her affectionate doggy kisses as well.
JJ "wrote" on her Facebook post: "I often do bed visits, though never without The Bossy One. This is a lady who has very few people to visit her. She cannot see and often does not wake up, but she did like having her hand on my fur. She was very calm during my visit."
"We were listening to Yeats, by the way. I was very insistent to have her touch me, more so than usual. We fell asleep later with her hand splayed on my head, both of us snoring (but no proof of that!)"
"I sure can be silly at times, but I also know when to be quiet and present. Her caregivers were very appreciative when they saw this video."
The video helped increase JJ's social media following, gaining 7,000 Facebook followers in 48 hours after it was posted and, as of this writing, has now been pushed up to 60,000 in total.
