LA Galaxy NEWS: Steven Gerrard Rejected Multiple Offer Before Galaxy Move

Steven Gerrard was a wanted man before he came to MLS, according to the Daily Mail. Tottenham Hotspur, Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and one unnamed club in Qatar all made bids for the English midfielder while he played his final season at Liverpool.

Gerrard indicated that clubs around Europe knew he was leaving Liverpool before he even made the official announcement, according to Bleacher Report. When a soccer legend indicates he might be leaving the only club he's played for, news spreads quickly among owners and coaches.

The Los Angeles Galaxy of MLS ultimately won the battle for Gerrard, signing him over the summer. To thank the Galaxy, Gerrard scored a goal in his first official league match. Since that time, he continues to be an important part of the team's MLS Cup run.

Playing an entire career up to this point with one team is never easy, especially when teams change out players almost ever two or three years. Now that Gerrard is over in the United States playing soccer, he is promised to have a "royal" treatment because of his legacy following him across the pond.

Gerrard and his family have settled in nicely in L.A. and still make time for family and friends back home when the season does not conflict.
