Manchester United's transfer season might not be over yet. Manager Louis Van Gaal hinted recently that forward James Wilson might be headed out of Old Trafford on an emergency loan, according to Bleacher Report.
Van Gaal spoke with Manchester United's website and likened Wilson's situation to Adnan Januzaj who left on loan to Borussia Dortmund two weeks ago.
"It is the same thing that I have said to James Wilson," he said. "I have said the same thing, only James has to go to a Championship club, so then I can call him back if my striker is injured. Then we need him and then he would have more playing time.
"But for Wilson, another year in the same way as last year is not good for his development. It is not good for Januzaj either. This is why we let players go on loan and we don't sell, because we believe in the quality of Januzaj and in the quality of Wilson."
Wilson has been lacking in first-team minutes for some time and only made a small impact when Ryan Giggs took over the club. The young striker tallied two goals during his first-team debut and showed lots of promise.
The situation is not ideal for Wilson, however. If he continues to prove himself by scoring multiple goals in the Championship Division, his future at United could be long and successful.
