When we last left NCIS, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) was apparently carrying out some operation and had a gun pointed at Fornell’s (Joe Spano) head. So, what happened next? Also, does Ziva’s Farewell will affect whether or not us viewers get answers?
Well, a recently released sneek peak may shed some light onto the situation.
In the sneak peek Abby (Pauley Perrette) is hugging Gibbs and very glad to have him back (as anyone would be). Right before she’s about to update him on a case, Parson makes his way to the room. Abby shuts the glass door in his face because the last time she saw him he was arresting Gibbs.
However, to her surprise, Gibbs says to let him in—because Parsons saved his life.
What?! How?!
When we last left Parsons he was on a strong vendetta to put Gibbs away for all of his crimes. He was also pretty annoyed at the way Gibbs was able to get out of being convicted.
Could Parsons have been in on the operation at the end of the season? Or does this have something to do with Ziva’s farewell?
There is a good chance this episode takes place either at the very beginning of the season premiere or after Ziva (Cote de Pablo) has left , since Gibbs appears fairly calm and isn’t discussing a Ziva-related case. If the scene is after Ziva has left, it’s nice to see at least a small part of the show after Ms. David has left. (Ziva's Farewell takes place in the first two episodes of the season.)
“NCIS” returns Tuesday Sept. 24, 8/7c on CBS.
