On the season six premiere of CBS' "The Talk," the ladies were ready to open up and share personal stories, but Sharon Osbourne, TV personality and wife of the legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, returned to the show after her hiatus and revealed that she wasn't ready yet to discuss why she took a leave of absence last season, TV Line reported.
"As you know, Mrs. O. took an unexpected six weeks off towards the end of last season and she has not revealed the reason for her absence," co-host Julie Chen told cameras during the season six premiere. "Now Mrs. O. had planned to talk about it today, but just before we came out here she told us that she isn't ready to go there yet."
Osbourne's co-hosts gave her their support and she received applause from the audience during Chen's speech. Osbourne looked around as Chen spoke for her, nervously sipping from her mug and didn't speak, but released a statement to her official Facebook page after the show aired.
"I thought I was ready to discuss with the world why I took a leave of absence from The Talk, but on reflection, I feel that I'm not ready or strong enough right now," the statement read. "I will at some point, because I feel there are thousands of people out there who are going through the same thing. I want them to know they're not on their own. We all struggle in life, no matter what our circumstance."
In May of this year, Osbourne collapsed from what her rep said was "extreme exhaustion" and was ordered to take a month off from her busy schedule to rest, Entertainment Tonight reported. This was Osbourne's first appearance on "The Talk" since her hiatus.
