Moto X Developer Edition has finally arrived on GSM networks worldwide, after it went up on sale with Verizon earlier this week. The demand for the Moto X dev edition seems to have increased as Verizon is already out of stock.
Moto X Developer Edition went up on sale with Verizon earlier this week with a hefty unsubsidized price of $649.99 and has now been listed as "Out Of Stock." Now, Motorola has decided to expand its horizon by bringing the Moto X dev edition on GSM networks with AT&T and T-Mobile. People have found these phones with their unlocked bootloaders of much interest, despite an expensive price tag.
The Moto X Developer Edition is available on Motorola website in a Woven White color with black Developer Edition design for $649.99. The high demand for the limited edition devices has delayed the shipment time to 7 days. The device will come with 32GB internal storage and 2GB of RAM with two two-years of 50GB Google Drive storage for those who avail it within 30 days from activation.
Unlike the Verizon version of Moto X, the T-Mobile and AT&T edition does not come with a SIM card. The bootloader can be easily unlocked but by doing so the warranty on the device will no longer apply.
"Once you get the unlock code, your device is no longer covered by the Motorola warranty; in other words, please don't blame us if things go wrong, even if they appear unrelated to unlocking the bootloader," the company warns.
The Moto X smartphone is Motorola's newest flagship smartphone with a 4.7-inch AMOLED 720p display. It runs on the latest Motorola's X8 Computing System chip and has a 10-megapixel rear facing camera with LED flahs and 1080p support.
In addition to the Moto X, Motorola has listed the Droid Maxx Developer Edition with an unlockable bootloader for $649.99 as "coming soon." But if you want to grab a less expensive DE smartphone with an unlockable bootloader then Motorola has Atrix HD for $459.99.
