‘Downton Abbey’ Trailer: PBS Releases First Look At Final Season (VIDEO)

PBS has released the first preview trailer for the final season of the critically acclaimed series "Downton Abbey." There are still more than three months to go until the final season airs, but the sixth series looks just as good as the ones before!

The upcoming season of the show picks up six months after the events of season five's finale, according to Entertainment Weekly. The year is 1925 and the preview starts with the familiar music all "Downton Abbey" fans have come to know and love.

In the new and final season, Edith is in London alone, Carson refuses to call Mrs. Hughes by her first name, even though they are finally engaged and the Dowager Countess and cousin Isobel get into it another spat.

"So you want to protect your power at the expense of the patients," Isobel asks the Maggie Smith's Dowager Countess. "I want to protect the patients at the expense of my power."

"May the best man win," the she replies to Isobel.

The final season of "Downton Abbey" premieres Jan. 3, 2016 on PBS. Fans in the show's native England get to watch the show when it premieres on Sunday, Sept. 20.
