The Professional Regurgitator and mentalist Oz Pearlman brought their A-game to the "America's Got Talent" finale and wowed the judges on a night when their fellow contestants gave less than impressive performances.
Pearlman started the night strong, confident enough to involve all four judges in his magical musical chairs act. He left them speechless when he matched their envelopes filled with different colored sheets of paper that matched the color of their chairs, which were hidden underneath black drapes, as well as guessing the person in their life that matters most to them.
The following acts did little to show they deserved the $1 million grand prize. Uzeyer Novruzov took little risk in his circus routine after his scary fall last week and comedic magician Piff the Magic Dragon's trick with his canine sidekick Mr. Piffles fell flat.
Judge Howie Mandel criticized ventriloquist Paul Zerdin for not differentiating well between the voices of his three puppets and Derek Hughes' rope act was too drawn out with little surprise at the end for Howard Stern. The CraigLewis Band did change some minds with their superstar performance of "Beggin," praised by Stern and his fellow judge Mel B, as well coordinating their polka-dot threads.
The Professional Regurgitator still seems like the act to beat after his final performance. He first swallowed five thumbtacks and retrieved four with a mini magnet then brought up the last one solo. In the second part of his act, he swallowed lighter gas, blew a bubble using dish detergent and then had host Nick Cannon ignite the bubble creating a fire ball.
America has cast their final votes and the next "America's Got Talent" winner will be revealed tonight, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
