Tina Fey and Amy Poehler stole the spotlight both on and off the red carpet at the 2013 Emmy Awards. Fey wore a tight royal blue Narciso Rodriguez dress while Poehler opted for a black Basler dress with gold accent dragons at the hips.
While walking the red carpet the "30 Rock" star spilled some secret - and exciting - details to Ryan Seacrest, E! News reports. Back in August rumors began circulating that Fey and Poehler had been asked to host the Golden Globes again.
Fey revealed to Seacrest that she and Poehler have been approached and they were actually planning on discussing the idea at the event.
"Have you asked Amy yet, because we literally said we're going to talk about it tonight because we haven't seen each other," Fey said.
"NBC has invited us," she said. "We're going to talk about it tonight!"
Hopefully the two ladies decide to host again. According to Deadline, their performance at last year's Golden Globes drew in almost 20 million viewers, 17 percent more than the previous year which was hosted by Ricky Gervais.
Fey and Poehler had only signed a one-time hosting contract with NBC but the network and Golden Globes producer Dick Clark has been trying to talk the ladies into hosting again. Fey explained to Seacrest that they have both been busy with different projects and have not made a final decision yet.
If they decided to pass on the hosting gig it would probably because of their hectic schedules but Deadline reports that hosting the Golden Globes isn't as time consuming like other hosting gigs and only requires a couple weeks of prep work.
NBC and Clark are hoping to nail down a host by November, before the nominations in December. The two comedians stole the spotlight during host Neil Patrick Harrs' opening sketch when they demanded the "How I Met Your Mother" actor to take off his pants and twerk for the audience.
"I come to award shows for the twerking," Fey said while eating popcorn and wearing a pair of 3D sunglasses.
"It might be degrading, but we would be de-grateful," Poehler said.
