T.I., Iggy Azalea End Professional Relationship (VIDEO)

T.I. said that he ended his professional business partnership with his former protégée, Iggy Azalea. The Atlanta rapper went on Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning" show Thursday morning and explained that he no longer acts as a mentor to the Australian musician.

T.I. was asked in the interview about Azalea and if he was still helping her out with her career.

"It took a bit of a rest stop," the rapper told host Ebro Darden.

"Have you guys talked," Darden asked.

"Personally, no," he responded.

Last December, rapper Q-Tip called Azalea out on Twitter for taking advantage of black culture and gave her a hip-hop history lesson in over 30 tweets, according to Entertainment Weekly. T.I said that the beef with Q-Tip was one of the reasons he severed ties with the "Fancy" rapper.

"After the Q-Tip thing... After I kind of had smoothed it over, like okay, 'What is really meant to be said here is...' After it was cool, everything was cool, and then they kind of came back and undid what I had just [accomplished]," T.I. said. "I'ma be all the way real, I'm a loyal partner. If I rock with you I'm gon' rock with you...I really do feel that they [Iggy's team] just needed a little more time to adjust, which I feel they [Iggy's team] can do. They have the talent, they have the charisma."

While T.I. said he was no longer involved with her professionally, he never threw Azalea under the bus during the interview.

"She had a lot thrown at her at one time," he said. "Any human being anywhere is going to have a hard time adjusting. It's very difficult to be the new kid and to be the butt of the jokes and the direction of all the negativity."
