Rutgers NEWS: Leonte Carroo's Alleged Domestic Violence Victim Speaks

Rutgers senior wide receiver Leonte Carroo reportedly slammed his ex-girlfriend into the concrete ground and has since been charged with domestic violence, according to Hannah Adely and Patricia Alex of Northjersey.com.

The victim chose not to release her name, but she gave an interview to The Record in which she said that she feared that his supporters will blame her for his situation. Carroo has been suspended from the team and is just another player in a long list to be suspended from Rutgers football. Head Coach Kyle Flood has also been suspended three games for a violation of university rules on Thursday.

Carroo was charged with assaulting the victim outside of the football training facility and has since been released on $1,000 bail. "He knows his own strength. He shouldn't have done it. I'm 107 pounds. He shouldn't have thrown me to the concrete," said the victim, via Northjersey.com. "I have never been so scared."

The victim said that when she awoke after blacking out from the slam, there were 15 people around her and a girl hitting her with a traffic cone. The confrontation allegedly started when Carroo came between his former ex-girlfriend (victim) and his current girlfriend, followed shortly by him slamming her to the ground.

Carroo's attorney, Peter Gilbreth of Morristown, declined to comment on the victim's story, but he did state that his client has entered a not-guilty plea. Carroo was a senior wide receiver for the Scarlet Knights, and it's unlikely that he will be seen on the field again this season.

Carroo is a big player for Rutgers, and he already has three touchdown receptions this year. Carroo's story has been added to a long list that pretty sums up Rutgers football season. The Scarlet Knights are only two games into the season, but the distractions are likely hurting any chance of success that this team could have.
