The Mohamed Elhassan, the father of the controversial 14-year-old boy, Ahmed Mohamed, will be pulling his son out of the public Texas high school where he was previously enrolled and said he will most likely enroll his son in a private school or conduct home-schooling. The young teen was suspended and handcuffed after he brought his homemade clock to his class.
"Before I was really scared that no one was really going to care about me cause I'm Muslim and now everyone wants to interview me because of what happened," Mohamed said, according to WFAA 8. "I want to make sure this never happens to another child globally ever again."
"I really want to go to MIT," Mohamed said, according to USA Today. "I'm thinking about transferring schools from MacArthur to any different school."
The Irving Independent School District said that other people would have handled the situation at hand the same way given the how the circumstances went. "We're never going to take chances with student safety," according to Lesley Weaver, the district spokeswoman, USA Today reported.

"It is a little bit disappointing that there are so many comments on social media from people who I don't think have the complete story," the spokeswoman added. "We have an obligation to protect all 2,800 students here at MacArthur."
"We had a very frank discussion about a variety of issues, but there was no anger, nothing like that," Irving Police Chief Larry Boyd said regarding the discussion of the issue with Muslims at the Islamic Center of Irving.
One of the biggest Muslim groups in Texas does not blame the school or the police.
"We're not pointing a finger at the school district or the police department," said Khalid Hamideh of the Islamic Association of North Texas, according to the Associated Press. "Under the current climate that exists in this country, you can't really blame them because when they see something like that, they have to react."
Hamideh also pointed out the "climate of fear" toward Muslims created by some political leaders.
