Following Taliban's attack on a Pakistani air force base, the Pakistani government has killed 16 suspected militants in bombing raids at Taliban hideouts close to the border of Afghanistan .
There was a great need to retaliate against this attack for the Pakistani government. The Taliban's attack on September 18th caused many casualties. The attack on the base on Friday was the deadliest militant attack on a Pakistani military installation and is likely to undermine already rocky ties with Afghanistan, according to MSN News.
Thirteen men with guns whose "mission was occupation of the base," Shafqat Malik said, rushed the base in an attempt to disarm the Pakistan forces.
With a high death toll it is now known that "All those killed in the bombing were Pakistani militants," a Peshwar security official said according to Indian express.
Pakistan has been thought of a place that "nurtures terrorists", but this was because of the need to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. With the support of the Taliban it was feasible to fight against them.
Attacks like this have happened before in Peshwar which has led to a need to do more about domestic terrorism in Pakistan. The last deadly attack on Peshawar was in February when three heavily armed Taliban militants stormed a Shia mosque, killing 21 people, according to The Austrailian.
