The Holland legend Robin Van Persie is not happy with his lack of starting minutes, according to Bleacher Report. The former Manchester United and Arsenal striker has voiced his disappointment in his lack of starting minutes for his new club, Fenerbahce.
Van Persie was called into action in the Turkish club's most recent match, and scored the game-winning goal, in the 77th minute. Van Persie's goal is only the second he has scored this season. There is no doubt he is upset with his role at the club, according to the Telegraph.
"To be honest, I am not very happy at this moment. I was not happy that I started on the bench. I am fully fit, physically very well and able to play for 90 minutes. The only right answer I could give was with what I did: helping the team to get the victory," stated Van Persie.
Fenerbahce manager Vitor Pereira knows of Van Persie's frustration and offered his thoughts on the situation.
"I would play more players if we were allowed to play 22 or 25 players. The players can like or not like what I do, but I must take decisions. I am happy with Van Persie's performance after being brought on to the pitch. It would be bad if he wasn't unhappy about being a substitute. This proves that he wants to play," stated Pereira.
It begs the question, should RVP have stayed with Man U, or even Arsenal? Especially now that the clubs have lost several attackers to injury and the transfer market? There is no official word about RVP leaving Turkey in January, but it is something that might want to be considered for the Holland star.
