‘Gotham’ Co-Stars Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie Confirm Their Romance at Emmy Afterparty

From the small screen to the red carpet, it appears as if love is in the air for everyone's favorite detective. "Gotham" co-stars Moren Baccarin, 36, and Ben McKenzie, 37, arrived together at the Fox Emmy Awards after party on Sunday night. Baccarin was rocking a sexy, low-cut red Reem Acra gown while McKenzie sported a quality Salvatore Ferragmo tuxedo.

People Magazine and E! News both confirmed with sources that the on-screen pair are officially together off-screen.

Fans of "Gotham" have seen McKenzie's Jim Gordon and Baccarin's Leslie Thompkins develop an intimate romance through the latter half of season one. That relationship continued last night in the season two premiere.

But Baccarin and McKenzie actually go back further than "Gotham." When McKenzie was donning a west coast bowl cut on "The O.C." she made a guest appearance, although McKenzie claims not to remember (ouch).

Previously, McKenzie has remained guarded when it comes to his private life, saying the "less said about the bedroom the better." But the chemistry between him and Baccarin both on and off screen was too palpable to deny.

The Brazilian-born actress is currently going through a tough divorce with writer/director Austin Chick. TMZ reported last month that Chick, whom Baccarin was married to for three years, is attempting to gain physical custody of their almost 2-year-old child along with spousal support from her $1.5 million annual earnings.

Here's to hoping happiness for the newly minted couple!

"Gotham" air on Fox every Monday at 8:00 PM ET.
