Theo Walcott is not happy with his lack of playing time at Arsenal and could look to change clubs soon, according to NBC Sports, and Spanish giant Barcelona is rumored to be interested in the English attacker.
The rumors surrounding Walcott come as a surprise after he signed a new multi-year contract this summer. Unfortunately, there was no guaranteed playing time included in that contract. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has favored others over the speedy Walcott for several matches this season, thus prompting a possible exit.
These new rumors have been revealed to Walcott who voiced his willingness and excitement about a possible move to Spain, according to Bleacher Report. Having Walcott depart the Gunners would be a heavy blow, yet if Wenger is keen on not giving Walcott the playing time he deserves, there is no reason to stick around. Players who love the game of soccer want to be on the field and if they are held out long enough, there will be a willingness to relocate for more playing time.
Barcelona makes the most sense for Walcott, especially with his incredible speed and willingness to attack the goal. Barca has lost one of its main wingers in Pedro, who ventured to Chelsea over the summer. The bad news continued for the Spanish giants, losing Rafinha to injury, thus opening the door for a new attacker to take over the wings alongside Luiz Suarez and Leo Messi.
