Nevada Teen Accused Of Killing Mother And Brother: Manhunt for 16-Year-Old Adrian Navarro-Canales Enters Day 6 (PHOTOS)

Authorities are searching for Adrian Navarro-Canales, 16, accused of killing his mother and brother in their Nevada home.

Elvira Canales-Gomez, 40, and 9-year-old Cesar Navarro were found dead in their Henderson apartment.

"The search for Adrian Navarro-Canales entered its sixth day, and police said they were also searching at the Mexican border for the southern Nevada teen," the Associated Press reports. "Police discovered the bodies of his mother and younger brother in the bathroom of their Henderson apartment on Friday. They said Navarro-Canales may have had a three-day head start on authorities."

Officials originally believed Adrian was another victim of the crime, but evidence found at the crime scene reportedly says otherwise.

"When the woman and her young son were found in the apartment, detectives thought the older son might also have been a victim," the Henderson Police department said in a news release. "As the investigation progressed, Navarro-Canales went from a missing person to a person of interest. By Sunday, detectives had the probable cause to arrest Navarro-Canales in connection with his family's murder."

Adrian dropped out of high school in November 2012.

KTNV.com reports Ana Martinez, niece of Elvira, is setting up the funeral arraignments for the victims. Martinez told the news publication she is concerned about Adrian and wants him home safe.

"I don't find him innocent and I don't find him guilty, at the same time. I'm not worried about that. I just want him back [so] I can figure out what happened [with all of this]," Martinez said.

Martinez is distraught over the loss of her aunt and cousin.

"Deep inside it's killing me. It's really eating me alive knowing my aunt and little cousin are gone," she said. "I can't let [Cesar] go. I can't let him go and I don't want to let him go."
