West Brom hasn't defeated Arsenal in three years. Despite the drought in wins against Arsenal, West Brom manager Steve Clark is confident his club can deal an upset on Wednesday, Goal.com reports.
"We can be dangerous underdogs," Clarke told West Brom's official site, via Goal.com. "As a team the last two performances have been good. Arsenal at home is a difficult game - it's a good game.
"I've got a nice squad of players who all want to play. It's up to me to get the right mix on the pitch on Wednesday. I've got players who need to play and players who want to play.
"Hopefully winning on Wednesday night and progressing in the cup will be good for the squad, because we have a big squad, so the longer you stay in the cup competitions the better."
Arsenal enters the tournament with a head of steam after wins over Marseille and Stoke last week. Arsenal, the favorite to win, is expected to play some of its younger players.
"I will try to find a good balance between experience and youth," Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said, according to IB Times. "At the back you will have players you know well. Up front, you have a bit more improvisation and young players.
"You will see (Serge) Gnarby again - everybody knows him already. Maybe the return of (Nicklas) Bendtner as well, who will get a chance. That's the kind of team we will have. We want to win this competition as well. I try to find the right balance between giving a needed breather to some players like (Jack) Wilshere and (Aaron) Ramsey, who have given a lot."
Projected Lineups (via IB Times):
