Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will be home in time for Christmas! Well, if home is the playing field at the Emirates Stadium, according to Bleacher Report. Aside from the classic Christmas song, Arsenal hope their prized midfield maestro will recover quickly from his leg injury sustained earlier this season.
The club announced that Wilshere requires surgery after his healing process was moving to slow, according to Arsenal.com. It is no secret that Arsenal want their main man back as soon as possible. As stated previously, the projected return for Wilshire is mid-December.
The Gunners are one of a few clubs in the Premier League that boast an impressive midfield, even without Wilshere on the field. Santi Carzola, Francis Coquelin and Mathieu Fellini are playing terrific and are keeping the Gunners in contention for a league title. During the third round of Capital One Cup action against Tottenham Hotspur, Fellini bagged two goals, leading the team to a 2-1 victory.
Wilshire is a crucial part of the Gunners attack and ball possession, however, the club will continue their success without him due to their terrific midfield play.
