Burger King's Twitter account was hacked Monday and hackers changed the Burger King's profile picture to one of McDonalds making it look like they had something to do with the hacking.
According to many reports online, Burger King experienced a "McHack" on their Twitter account when the hacker changed their profile picture to McDonald's picture and claimed Burger King had been sold to McDonalds because its "whopper flopped."
The account's biography read: "Just got sold to McDonalds because the whopper flopped =[ FREDOM IS FAILURE."
McDonalds, who is one of Burger King's chief competitors, empathized with the food chain and stated that they had nothing to do with the hacking.

We have worked directly with administrators to suspend the account until we are able to re-establish our legitimate site and authentic postings. We apologize to our fans and followers who have been receiving erroneous tweets about other members of our industry and additional inappropriate topics."
During the hour the Twitter account was active, the hackers posted ridiculous or obscene items along with vulgar tweets. Other Twitter users also seemed to be enjoying themselves and posted some hilarious comments.
