49ers cornerback Shareece Wright has apparently had enough in San Francisco and is reportedly seeking a trade or wants to be released from the team, according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport.
Wright has not been activated in any of the 49ers first three games and it appears to be frustrating him. Wright used his twitter account to write, "Politics as usual" shortly before the announcement that he would not play. Wright deleted the tweet shortly after.
Wright loses $21,875 for ever game that he is listed as inactive, and without playing time he can't earn his $250,000 incentives, according to Matt Maiocco of csnbayarea.com.
Wright signed a one-year deal with San Francisco this past March. Wright was a third round pick by the San Diego Chargers in the 2011 NFL Draft. Last season for the Chargers he had a combined 60 tackles and 10 passes defended.
The 49ers have struggled since their week one win, and have given up 90 points in the past two games. San Francisco's defense is clearly missing players like Patrick Willis, Justin Smith, and Chris Borland. With so much overturn this offseason it seemed like the 49ers were in for a rough season, but it's still early and San Francisco has the same record as three other teams in the NFC West.
It's seems unlikely that Wright will be brought up to play, and since the team isn't required to meet his demands it looks to stay that way.
