Sony released one of its most affordable smartphones , Xperia M, a month back in Europe and Asia. The unlocked version of Xperia M has finally hit the U.S. shelves for $ 249.99.
Xperia M is available in black, white, purple and yellow colors. As a mid-range phone, Sony Xperia M does not include mouth watering features like its siblings from the Xperia family, but projects a 4 inch screen with a resolution of 480x584 pixels. The device running on Android 4.1 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus CPU clocked at 1GHz, reveals a recent post on CNet.
In terms of storage capacity, the device packs 1GB RAM with an internal memory of 4GB. The memory can be expanded up to 32GB externally.
The device is likely to feature a five megapixel camera that comes with a resolution of 720x1280 and a three MP front facing camera.
The device is also includes HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 and an impressive sound setting featuring xLOUD , 3D surround sound, and active noise cancellation, reports GSMArena.
Xperia M comes with a battery backup of 1750 mAh and is of the lightest smartphones Sony has ever produced weighing only 115 grams.
The Japanese multinational company will also be launching a dual variant of Xepria M by this month end in Europe, more specifically in Russia. The dual variant carries more or less the same features as its former edition but will be available only in three colors-black, white and purple, reports unwired.
There is no word out yet on when the dual variant may get released for the U.S. market.
