Ronda Rousey Used To Fight Men 'For Frappuccinos'

Following an interview, it was revealed that pro UFC fighter Ronda Rousey started her career by making bets for money for frappuccinos from starbucks.

During this time, she was about 14-years-old and reportedly would fight any man, betting between 5 and 10 dollars according to Bleacher Report.

"Me and my friend Jackie, after school, we would walk over to the Promenade, and Jackie was like my Paul Heyman. She would be like, 'I bet my girl right here could beat you up for $10, or $5, or whatever.' And then some guy would be like, 'Ehh, whatever I'll take that bet,'" Rousey said in an interview with Sports Illustrated, according to USA Today.

She would then fight, submit her opponent and take their money. Rousey says she was very confident and not hesitant to fight.

"I would throw him to the ground, either give him a choke or an arm bar," she said. Maxim labelled her as a hustler because of this. She participated these fights to fuel her caffeine addiction while in high school.

"This were my first pro fights," she joked to Sports Illustrated.

Rousey won an Olympic medal in Judo a few years later. Her mother was a judo expert, so that fighting style was something she was used to, and grew up around. Currently, Rousey is an undefeated mixed martial artist with a record of 12 wins; 11 of those wins came in the first round.
