Tesla released its latest electric vehicle, and it's awesome.

Tesla officially released its newest vehicle on Tuesday night, the Tesla Model X, and it's one of the first electric SUVs on the market, according to the Associated Press.

Six customers were given the keys to the luxury electric SUVs Tuesday night, and they won't be the last.

The vehicles are currently priced at $130,000, according to Wired. They will be able to drive 250 miles on a single charge, and hold seven passengers. It has doors that lift, and goes faster than its counterpart, the Model S P90D sedan.

It's truly the stuff of the future.

Inside, the vehicle is equipped with a wide range of sensors, cameras, radar, and sonar systems, according to the Guardian. It has a partial self-driving system that works even at fast speeds, and safety features that any parent would love.

U.S. customers will be the first to get their hands on the new Model X, according to the Guardian. If ordered now, these cars will reach their owners in 8 to 12 months. There is no word yet on when the car will be launched in Europe.

The company has already sold 25,000 vehicles, and numbers are expected to rise as this is the only electric luxury SUV on the market, according to the Associated Press.
