Kanye West went on an all-out Twitter rant against Jimmy Kimmel for spoofing the rapper's BBC interview, then reportedly demanded the late-night talk show host to apologize for the segments.
"Did anyone else get a very angry phone call from Kanye West about an hour and a half ago? Just me? OK. I didn't know if he was mad at all of us," Kimmel said in opening his monologue on Thursday night.
Kimmel claims what upset 36-year-old rapper was that a child was used to spoof his "egomaniacal" interview on BBC. The child actor literally repeated what West said during his interview in the comedic segment.
Kimmel said he spoke to West on the phone, where he then told him he should apologize to him to make his life better because he is a "powerful" person in the media.
"And by the way, he told me on the phone -- and I swear to God this is true-- 'I am the most powerful voice in media. I am PAC.' He said 'PAC' a few times to me. I guess he means Tupac..." Kimmel added. "He said, 'You will never be able to show your face at a 14-year-old's high school football game and be cool again!' He really is Pac. I mean that's right out of the Tupac playbook, isn't it?"
After the late-night spoof may have gotten under West skin enough to prompt a paparazzi attack. A photographer asked West about the Jimmy Kimmel segment and he "lunged" himself at the him.
"Kanye was at his bachelor pad at 4 AM, when several photogs (not TMZ) approached him as he was getting in his car to leave and asked about his feud with Jimmy Kimmel. It appears Kim is also there. Sources say he and Kim were on their way to the airport with the final stop - Paris," TMZ reports. "An infuriated Kanye lunges at the photog but it does not appear there is any physical contact."
