A photo of Diana Ross stepping out in Los Angeles on Tuesday seemed like an innocent paparazzi shot until The Shade Room posted the photo to their Instagram, shockingly sparking a ton of pregnancy rumors for the 71-year-old singer.
While Ross does appear to be a little bloated in the photo, it seems that she's just the latest celebrity involved in a hoax.
The pregnancy rumors are "absolutely not true," a source close to the singer, who laughed off the rumors, told Gossip Cop. The comment section of the photo instantly blew up, but it turns out that Ross is just another victim of body shaming and unflattering celebrity paparazzi photos.
If she were actually pregnant, it'd be pretty incredible and record breaking. As of right now, the world's oldest woman to conceive a child was a 70-year-old woman from India, so Ross would have had her beat by one year.
Ross is currently performing in Las Vegas at the Venetian hotel, according to the Daily Mail. Her first gig in Vegas was a sold out show, so she's coming back for more. She will be performing nine shows in November during a tour that's being called "Diana Ross: Some Memories Never Fade."
"I love to sing and perform, and every show feels like a celebration," she told Las Vegas Review-Journal. "Just like a brand new day or a brand new moment. And it's all about the music and those private and personal memories. We will all take a musical journey of love. Each song reminds me of something special, somewhere special or someone very special. Music is magic like that."
