The Dallas Cowboys have been bit hard by the injury bug this year. Quarterback Tony Romo suffered a broken collar bone In Week 2 and is not expected to return until late November. Dez Bryant, meanwhile, is dealing with a fracture in his right foot and the Cowboys are hoping he will return no later than Week 8.
But none of that helps them in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints. As a result, ESPN Cowboys reporter Todd Archer predicts Dallas to drop their game against the 0-3 New Orleans Saints.
"The New Orleans Saints have lost six straight home games are winless on the season," Archer wrote. "The Cowboys have won 10 straight road games in the regular season, but are coming off a demoralizing loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
"Drew Brees appears ready to return after a one-week absence. The last time the Cowboys played in New Orleans they gave up a league-record 40 first downs in 2013. The Cowboys have not been able to consistently rush the passer and were chewed up on the ground last week by the Falcons.
"Can the Cowboys' offense match Brees score for score? Without Tony Romo and Dez Bryant, that's just too hard to imagine.
"Saints 31, Cowboys 20."
Vegas has the Saints as -4 favorites over the Cowboys. If Archer's prediction is even close to accurate, they should cover that spread with ease. Have at it, NFL fans.
