Hyderabad has its back to the wall. Monday is a must-win for the team, which has only four points after losing two of its previous three matches. Sitting in fourth place, a win over Brisbane and some mathematical help is the only way for the Sunrisers to advance to the semifinals, CricBuzz.com reports.
"The domestic players need to perform and score big runs," Hyderabad skipper Shikhar Dhawan said, via CricBuzz. "We can't expect Perera and Sammy to push the score every game. We need a lot of work."
Brisbane has fared even worse in the tournament. The team lost to Trinidad & Tobago, the Titans and Chennai. With no hope of advancing, Brisbane can at least play for pride and the chance of upsetting Hyderabad's aspirations for a semifinal berth.
"We will take some learning curve from the tournament," Brisbane skipper James Hopes said. "It was valuable experience for some of the younger guys in the team and they will only learn from this exposure."
