Iggy Azalea Thinks Miley Cyrus Copied Her Twerking: 'She Probably F***ing Watched My Videos Online and Decided to Try It'

Rapper Iggy Azalea may not be the first person to ever twerk onstage, but she seems to think that Miley Cyrus should credit her for introducing her to the sexy dance move. The Australian native recently spoke to Paper magazine about her image, style, latest music...and twerking, of course.

"I've been doing that onstage for two-and-a-half years," Azalea says of the dance craze and the now twerk-obsessed former Disney princess. "She probably f***ing watched my videos online and decided to try it." Azalea does indeed twerk in her music video for her latest single "Work," a song off of her forthcoming album, "The New Classic," and has shown off her ass-shaking skills plenty of times before onstage.

"People just wanna see my butt," the 23-year-old star told the magazine of the "twerk-off" she held at NYC's Bowery Ballroom in June to her song "Cheeks".

"We'd been doing that dance-off at the shows, but no one put it online. At the Bowery, they did."

While she may not yet be a global superstar, as she has yet to release her debut album, Azalea has a massive following on social media, several hit singles like "Murda Bizness" featuring T.I. under her belt, and most recently signed on for Beyoncé's Australasia tour, where she'll perform a batch of brand new tracks in her home country.

"It'll be weird when my parents are there," said the star. "Not because of the dancing or the sexuality, but because they created me. There will be fans screaming for me, but my parents know the real side of me. The side that's not cool."

As she raps in her song "Work," Azalea left Australia as a teen to pursue her musical ambitions in the U.S., and she did it without the help of her parents by her side.

"When I first moved to L.A., I didn't have many friends, and I couldn't drive," she recalled to Paper. "You can ride the Metro to Universal Studios, so I'd go there by myself. I'd take the tour, go on a couple of rides. I wouldn't feel so alone."

Though it's unlikely Iggy Azalea and Miley Cyrus will team up for a duet, Cyrus does have some exciting guests featured on her own upcoming album, "Bangerz," including Future, Nelly, Big Sean, French Montana and even Britney Spears. The two are certainly similar with their banging bodies, platinum blonde hair and eye-catching styles, and have been put side by side for comparison by a variety of music blogs.
