Twitter is on a roll.
Not only did Twitter recently announce the appointment of a new CEO, but now it's introducing a new service that will revolutionize the way people use Twitter.
Twitter has recently launched Moments, which is a new service on the app that allows users to stay up-to-date on current stories and trends, according to the Guardian.
Not only does it keep users in check with current news stories, but it also allows for them to keep up with sports games and TV spoilers, according to The Next Web.
Moments are marked in the center of the Twitter page by a lightning bolt, and once clicked, it opens up a full screen collage of stories, pictures, and video, according to Wired. It was designed as a way to make getting information from Twitter easier, and its creators hope it widens the tweeting audience.
Twitter's product manager for Moments, Madhu Muthukumar, said this about the new feature.
"Moments helps you find the best of Twitter as easily as tapping an icon - regardless of who you follow," he said, according to the Guardian.
Not only will events be curated from Twitter staff, but outside partners will also be featured. Some of these include Buzzfeed, Entertainment Weekly, Fox News, Getty Images, Mashable, MLB, NASA, New York Times, Vogue, and the Washington Post, according to The Next Web. This means that users will get a wide variety of information that they will easily be able to absorb from all across the web.
