‘Star Wars Episode 7’ RUMORS: ‘The Force Awakens’ Trailer Coming Soon?

Disney and Lucasfilm's hotly anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is due out in a few short months, yet fans still have only received brief glimpses of the new film. Beyond two teaser trailers and one brief Instagram video, director J.J. Abrams has kept the movie tightly under wraps. But that may change soon enough.

Jordan Maison, Edirot-in-Chief of Cinelinx, reports that the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" official trailer is completed along with several new TV spots. That's awesome news for anyone eager for more "Star Wars" content, which is everyone.

Fans have been campaigning for a full-length official trailer for months and have kicked up their efforts in recent days. Abrams himself had said that the trailer would be coming sometime in the fall which, as you may know, only began about two weeks ago.

To play devil's advocate, perhaps fans should be glad they haven't gotten a barrage of trailers and clips. Blockbusters these days have a tendency to reveal a majority of the plot in the previews, taking away just a bit of the positive shock and awe of the movie-going experience. As one of the most eagerly awaited films in recent memory, maybe Abrams' typical secrecy will make the viewing experience that much more enjoyable.

Either way, it sounds like the appetite of the rabid fan base will be satiated soon.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters on Dec. 18.
