Daniel Craig, who plays the British spy in the famous "James Bond" franchise, says he's done playing James Bond and would rather commit suicide than take on the role again.
"Now? I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists," Craig said, when asked if he would do another Bond film, according to TimeOut. "No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on."
When pressed about whether he was hanging up his James Bond boots for good, Craig was a bit more diplomatic with his answer.
"I haven't given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don't want to think about it," said the 47-year-old, according to IGN. "I don't know what the next step is. I've no idea. Not because I'm trying to be cagey. Who the f--k knows? At the moment, we've done it. I'm not in discussion with anybody about anything," he said, before candidly adding, "If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money."
Craig also spoke candidly when asked the future of the James Bond role in the franchise. "Look, I don't give a f--k. Good luck to them," he said, when asked if he cared who played Bond next. "All I care about is that if I stop doing these things, we've left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better."
Craig also had some straightforward advice to give his successor: "Don't be s--t. You've got to step up. People do not make movies like this any more. This is really rare now. So don't be s--t. ... But no, just make sure you're great. You've got to push yourself as far as you can. It's worth it, it's James Bond."
The actor has been quite vocal about his desire to end his run as agent 007. In an interview last month, Craig hinted that his upcoming Bond film "Spectre," would be his last take on the role, but didn't completely rule out a future project. "I have a life and I've got to get on with it a bit. But we'll see," he said, Time reported.
Craig's fourth James Bond movie "Spectre," is slated to hit theaters on Nov. 6. Watch the final trailer HERE.
