Saudi-Led Airstrike
Kills 22 During Wedding In Yemen, Residents Say

Two Saudi-led Yemen airstrikes killed 22 people Wednesday when one of the rocket attacks hit a wedding ceremony. The locals in the area believe that the Iran-connected Houthis are the targets of the Saudi-allied coalitions. The spokesman for the coalition denied any airstrikes in those areas when a missile hit a wedding more than a week ago, as previously covered by HNGN.

Three brothers were only waiting for their brides to arrive when a rocket attack hit their home in Sanban located in the Dhamar region. Aside from the 22 casualties, there were 50 other people left wounded, but medics said that none of the brides was injured, according to Reuters.

They targeted the tribal leader's home in Sanban that coincidentally hosted the wedding. These airstrikes happened as the Yemeni government forces and their associates conquered the final outpost of Shiite Houtis located in Marib province. Yemeni official Col. Ayed al-Moradi said that they were also able to capture the town of Sirwah, the Associated Press reported.

Overthrown Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi was criticized all over the world for these airstrikes that his coalition continuously denies. They said that the Arab alliance does not target civilians and passed on the accusations to the Houthi rebels, who are loyal to Ali Abdullah Saleh, according to The Huffington Post.
