Next year's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is one of the most highly anticipated superhero films of all time. Beyond being what is likely to be one of the bigger films in recent memory, Warner Bros. is excited for movie-goers to see Ben Affleck's new iteration of Batman.
Although fans were initially torn on his casting as the Caped Crusader, his performance and character are reportedly so good that WB is pushing for him to become the center of the DC Extended Universe. Though we've gotten a few stills and quick glimpses of the new Dark Knight, today comes the best image we've gotten so far.
Photographer Clay Enos shared this picture on his Instagram account to the delight of Batman fans everywhere. The picture gives fan almost a full body view of Ben Affleck in costume. Similar to Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy, Batman is wearing modified form-fitting armor.
He'll need it too, as Affleck will portray an older Bruce Wayne who is semi-retired and not as involved in the crime fighting game as he once was. Though the billionaire entrepreneur may be a little older, he looks no worse for the wear. He'll need to be in excellent shape to take on Superman, after all.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.
