I have given three things I like about "NBA 2K14" but, as with all games, there are also some things to dislike 2K Sports latest basketball game. So here are a couple things I don't like about "NBA 2K14" concerning gameplay (offline) and off-court features:
No. 1-More Of The Same
There are a lot of off-court things that could have been changed this year-specifically the halftime show and the intro to the games. The halftime show is almost exactly the same as last year's with some highlights and scores. The beginning of the game is almost the same with star player highlights and music from the soundtrack playing in the background. I'm really hoping the dev team held back because they wanted to keep something for the next-gen version. If not, this is a major let down.
No.2-The Pro Stick
I'm not sure if this is something I dislike rather than something to get adjusted to. Each year there is a slight change to the controls and while the pro stick is innovative it can be slightly annoying for anyone that has programmed button combinations into their brains. For example, when I attempt to drive to the hoop and my player shoots the ball from a ridiculous distance. Or when I automatically press the left trigger to lay the ball up and my player no looks passes to someone that isn't there. Having a analog stick that controls almost everything will definitely take some getting used to.
"NBA 2K14" is in stores now for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will release for the Xbox One on Nov. 22 and for the PlayStation 4 on Nov. 15.
