Nexus 5 By October End: What All To expect

Google is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its next flagship product in the Nexus line up, Nexus 5, by the end of October.

The successor to Nexus 4 will be more affordable compared to the latest iPhone 5S, retailing at half its price at $275, reads a recent post on Techradar.

The report also suggests that the Nexus 5 will be similar in performance to the latest iPhone entry and may include a 64-bit processor following the footsteps of Apple. The device is said to pack an internal storage capacity of 64GB although the RAM size may slightly differ from earlier reports that disclosed a 3GB RAM for the device. The Nexus device is also expected to incorporate a fingerprint identity processor matching the Touch ID on iPhone 5S, reports, tech 2.

The earlier leaks revealed that the Nexus device is likely to have the latest Android Kitkat version and a 5.2-inch display with a resolution output of 1080 pixels. The latest reports on CNet also list similar features though with a better display ( 1,920x1,080-pixel full HD display with a resolution density, 444 pixels).

In terms of hardware, the Google device will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz. Nexus 5 will offer a decent battery life, supporting a 3000 mAh battery accompanied by a wireless charging kit. The Nexus 5 may shore up 4G LTE along with NFC compatibility. It may also include a 13 mega pixel camera.

The upcoming Nexus device will be supported by all the major carriers in the U.S. including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint.
