Rockstar Disables Micro-transactions for GTA V Online Temporarily

Rockstar North, the Brit game developer, has disabled the online micro-transaction features for the game temporarily following complaints against the GTA V server.

"For the time being and until we have been able to get everybody access to GTA Online and things are running smoothly, we have disabled the option of purchasable GTA$ cash packs," reads the latest update by Rockstar, on official support page. "Players can however keep on earning GTA$ by pulling off Jobs and other profitable game play activities rather than purchasing cash packs."

After the launch of the online edition for GTA V, Tuesday, some gamers were denied access to GTA V online owing to some server issues. Rokstar was quick to come up with fixes but GTA V followers are still finding it hard. While some players have managed access to the tutorial missions on re downloading the Title Update others going for the swap character option from the pause menu got stuck to the screen for hours and could not get in to the tutorial. Some of the single players have even reported losing entire data (files saved for the game play) on going online, reports computerandvideogames.

The game developer has acknowledged the above problems and also listed a few other glitches faced by the gamers while playing GTA V Online. The problems are as follows:

"Rockstar Cloud Servers Unavailable" error message

"Failed to Host a GTA Online Session" error messages

Errors saying "Timed out when matchmaking for a compatible GTA Online Session to join"

Errors about jobs failing to start or load

Misc. network and server-related error messages, disconnections, or cloud server errors

Errors saying "Mission Failed" as soon as the mission begins during a session

Long matchmaking load screens, eventually timing out after 10-15 minutes

Offline (disc-based) and online content mixing on the Jobs list

Ending up in a free-roam session with no jobs/markers on the map while playing as a temporary character during a cloud outage

Rockstar North has also assured the players of coming with solutions to these problems as soon as possible. "All of these initial technical issues will be ironed out as soon as we can. Please know that the entire team here at Rockstar and all of our relevant partners is and will continue to be working around the clock to get the experience to be as smooth as possible, as soon as possible," states the Rockstar official page.

For the single players Rockstar advises to save the files on a USB stick before signing in to GTA V Online.
