Lamar Odom is finally trying to kick his rumored drug addiction to get Khloe Kardashian back?
TMZ reports sources close to Lamar say he's been sober for five days and believes he doesn't need to go to rehab to quit.
"Lamar believes in what he calls 'self-healing' and says he has the willpower to kick his drug habit on his own," TMZ reports. "Lamar says he's done it successfully before and is convinced he can do it again."
In order to allegedly stay clean, Lamar is cutting out "certain friends" out of his life. He is reportedly open to seeking professional help, but not at a rehab facility.
"Lamar is very mindful of the fact that training camp has just started," TMZ reports. "Although he wants to save his marriage to Khloe Kardashian, our sources say his motivation for sobriety seems to be more focused on his basketball career. Lamar believes once he's achieved a level of sobriety, he can re-join a team."
However, HollywoodLife.com says Lamar knows wife Khloe won't be leaving him because she loves him "too much" to consider a divorce.
"She's just trying to scare him," the source told the gossip site. "The cold part is, Lamar knows that. She loves him too much to give up on Lamar...Khloe's bark is stronger than her bite."
It's not that Lamar is messing with Khloe's emotions, but rather because he wants to deal with his alleged crack cocaine use alone.
"Lamar's not stupid, he knows exactly what he's doing," the source said. "Nobody's going to force him to do anything. When he wants to get clean, workout, get back on the court, he will do so."
The couple was spotted together on Oct. 1 at their California home to allegedly discuss "divorce details," but neither Khloe nor Lamar have confirmed a separation.
However, rumor has it the couple did not spend their fourth anniversary together on Sept. 27.
