Happy almost one-year anniversary to Sam Worthington and Lara Bingle! Us Weekly reported that the 39-year-old "Avatar" actor married the 28-year-old model last December. Bingle confirmed her martial status and revealed intimate details about her wedding during an interview on KIISFM's "Kyle and Jackie O Show" today.
"Sam and I got married nearly a year ago, on the 28th of December," she revealed. "It was very intimate. We just popped into Melbourne with Sam's family, and we just had 10 people in a house we rented."
"We wrote the whole celebration, we wrote all our vows," Bingle said about the nuptials, adding that she and her mother prepared lunch for their guests.
The highly private couple were rumored to have gotten married around New Year's Eve 2014. At the time, Bingle was six months pregnant with their son Rocket, which she admitted made it difficult to find a wedding dress.
"It was super chilled. Just before the wedding I was in London, it was really cold at the time, and finding a dress at six months pregnant. I found something at Louis Vuitton, it was white," she told the Australian radio show.
The couple began dating in September 2013 and welcomed their son Rocket in March. Despite motherhood being "very hard," Bingle admitted she would not trade her position for anything, calling it "the best thing in the world."
"Rocket was born in Los Angeles, and we live between New York and L.A.," she revealed. "But being home in Sydney now is nice. It's nice to be home every day, and be with my mum. Rocket has the most amazing grandmothers — Sam's mum and my mum have been awesome."
