"Party of Five" star Lacy Chabert is all grown-up, and at 31-years-old, the actress is now on the cover of November's Maxim in a photo spread that shows off her svelte, sexy figure as the star discusses growing up in the spotlight, the New York Daily News reports.
Chabert rose to fame at the age of 12, her breakout role FOX's '90s teen drama, "Party of Five," which she starred in as Claudia alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt, Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell and Scott Wolf. Now an accomplished film and voice actress, best known for her work in "Not Another Teen Movie" and playing the ditzy Gretchen Wieners in "Mean Girls," Chabert feels free to open up about what it was like to be young and famous.
"Look, life is tough, and growing up in this business is especially tough," she told Maxim. "I really can't take any credit other than saying I grew up in a really protective family."
Unlike her "Mean Girls" co-star Lindsay Lohan, who is currently sober after her seventh stint in rehab, Chabert was lucky enough to avoid the toxic Hollywood lifestyle. And unlike Gretchen Weiners, she's hardly a "plastic" in real life.
"I want a long-lasting career, so you're not gonna find me doing anything scandalous anytime soon," she said. "I'm not a mean girl. Life is too short. I'm a nice girl next door, but I love a good weekend in Vegas. Blackjack, roulette, four-card poker, slots ... all of it."
But that doesn't mean her fans have forgotten "Mean Girls," a 2004 teen comedy that has become iconic in popular culture, much to the surprise of Chabert.
"People tweet me all the time, 'Are you still trying to make 'fetch' happen?'" she joked. "I never thought people would still be quoting 'Mean Girls' 10 years later."
