Kourtney Kardashian called it quits with her longtime love Scott Disick back in July, but the former couple is still engaged in a custody battle for their three young children, reported People. Although the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star refuses to give her ex split custody of their children because of his history with alcoholism, a source close to the reality TV family said they're close to reaching an agreement.
"Everything is getting finalized, there is nothing in writing yet," a source told People. "However, Kourtney won't allow Scott split custody. She thinks he is a drunk mess and not fit to be a parent without supervision."
Kardashian shares three children with Disick, 5-year-old Mason, 3-year-old Penelope and 9-month-old Reign. The couple was together for nine years before their very public breakup earlier this year, which will be documented on the upcoming season of the family's hit E! reality series, as previously reported by HNGN. Disick's substance abuse had been addressed numerous times on the long-running show.
In the months since their breakup, Disick has been photographed partying with mystery women in various cities across the country, most recently a blonde model, as previously reported by HNGN.
But Kardashian won't let her ex's actions bring her down, according to sources. She's focused on spending time with her children and "is doing really well."
"Instead of getting upset about Scott's latest shenanigans," the source told People, "it helps her realize splitting was for the best."
